CLOCKWORK STUDIOS

 
 

Clockwork Studios is a new custom designed scoring stage for the UK. The facility comprises of a large hall, for full orchestra (80 players), with a balanced and focused sound ideal for modern orchestral recording, as well as a smaller dry space in Studio B (15 players).

Located in Glasgow, Scotland, this reconditioned church is a beautiful sounding space acoustically treated specifically for our use creating one of the quietest spaces in Glasgow to record. Built in 1953 and designed by architect Thomas S. Cordiner, we have consulted with our architect to keep as much detail of the original church as possible to create a world class recording facility.

The space is dry enough to capture the most detailed nuances as well as having a lovely bloom of sound giving it warmth. We have recorded games scores with large orchestral forces, chamber orchestra, string ensembles and traditional groups, through to delicate warm Gaelic vocals, percussion and solo pianos, all complimented beautifully by the natural resonance of the room. With a second studio suitable for 15 musicians and linked to the main hall, this makes Clockwork Studios the perfect scoring stage to record all types of scores.  There is also a mezzanine/balcony level within the hall, 2 isolation booths, plus 1 in Studio B all linked to the control room.

For remote recording, Audiomovers gives you access to the control room and hall in real time with video link livestream. We can hold up to 80 musicians in this hall with an additional 15 in Studio B all patched in to the main control room. Clockwork studios is designed for tracking work based around Protools HDX and utilising Grace preamps and a Focusrite Rednet Dante system.

Kitchen facilities and parking are all on site. We all provide a full hospitably package.
